Summary
FOX SF6 gas-insulated ring main unit is a licensed product from Schneider Electric. It is primarily used as a ring main unit in distribution networks or for end-user power distribution. It is also commonly used in compact substations and switching stations.
It includes the following protection schemes:
- Transformer protection via fuses (Q scheme);
- Transformer protection via vacuum circuit breakers (B scheme);
- FOX-NE compact type: features compact dimensions and a small footprint, easy to install in distribution rooms;
- FOX-DE expandable/modular type: the modular design facilitates expansion, allowing connection on either the left or right side.
