Langsheng Electric Visits and Comforts Anti-Japanese War Veterans

        On the morning of March 24, 2023, Jiang Wei, Vice President and Chairman of the Union of Harbin Langsheng Electric Co., Ltd., visited and comforted two Anti-Japanese War veterans, Liu Qiyong and Lu Sigan, accompanied by the Pingcheng Street Office of Pingfang District. They inquired about the veterans' health and living conditions, listened to their stories of noble patriotism and indomitable national spirit, and delivered gifts such as oil, rice, and health products. They also urged the veterans' families to take good care of them.

        Liu Qiyong, born in 1927, is now 96 years old. At the age of 17, he joined the revolution as a militia member in Hebei Village, Rongcheng County. At 20, he joined the Eighth Route Army, stationed in Liuliqiao, Beijing. He participated in the 1949 founding ceremony, experienced the Korean War, and later served in Xiamen, Zhangzhou, and Yanji, Jilin. He took part in battles such as the Battle of Shengfang, the Battle of Baonan, the Xiaozhuang Campaign, and the Fangan Campaign.

        Jiang Wei said, "The elderly man has a kind face. Although he is physically limited and can't hear much of our conversation, he smiles often. When he realized we were guests, he waved at us frequently."

        Lu Sigan, born in 1929, is now 94 years old. He joined the army in 1941 and participated in the Anti-Japanese War and the Korean War. After returning to China in 1953, he studied veterinary science at a university and later served as a veterinary assistant in the logistics of the 81st Division, 27th Army.

        Lu Sigan, an eloquent man, eagerly retrieved his medals and certificates, sharing the stories behind each one. "The elder is full of energy—truly a rare spirit," Jiang Wei remarked.

        Soldiers are the most adorable people. They have sacrificed their youth and sweat for the country and deserve respect and care from future generations. Their heroic deeds and dedication are forever worth remembering and learning from. Let us pay our respects to the old revolutionaries and heroes. Wishing them good health and eternal vitality.
