Summary
The LS-MX enclosed busway (also referred to as enclosed busbar) is a busbar system composed of a metal enclosure (steel plate, aluminum plate, or fire-resistant panel) as the protective housing, conductive bars (copper bars, aluminum bars, or copper-aluminum composite bars) as the current-carrying conductors, along with insulating materials, mounting hardware, and accessories. It covers isolated-phase busways, non-segregated phase busways, and cable busways, and is widely used in power plants, substations, and industrial and commercial power supply systems.
Structural Characteristics
- Aluminum-magnesium alloy enclosure for lighter weight, better sealing, and improved heat dissipation; the specialized structure provides sufficient mechanical strength to support and protect the busway system;
- Pre-assembled connection method enables faster installation;
- Purpose-built connectors simplify busbar connections and accelerate the installation process;
- High-grade insulating materials for enhanced safety;
- Conductor surface coated with multi-layer Class B (130°C) polymer film up to 0.5mm thick;
- Tin-plated conductor contact areas reduce contact resistance and prevent electrochemical corrosion;
- Enclosure provides IP40 to IP65 or higher protection rating (excluding ventilation openings).
Standards Compliant
- GB/T8349.2-2020 Metal-Enclosed Busbars (core standard);
- GB7251.6-2019 Low-Voltage Switchgear and Controlgear Assemblies – Part 6: Busbar Trunking Systems (Busways);
- GB/T11022-2011 Common Specifications for High-Voltage Switchgear and Controlgear Standards (applicable to enclosed busways);
- GB4208-2017 Degrees of Protection Provided by Enclosures (IP Code);
- GB/T50149-2010 Code for Construction and Acceptance of Busbar Installation in Electrical Equipment Installation Engineering;
- GB/T2424.25-2021 Environmental Testing – Reliability Requirements for Vibration and Seismic Conditions;
- GB/T14848-2017 Water Quality for Industrial Use (enclosure corrosion protection and environmental compatibility).
